          Dan Seibert

Daniel Seibert

I was born into a home where my parents had already accepted Christ as their Savior when I was born. As I grew up in Pennsylvania with my two younger siblings I was first introduced to God at church. It wasn't until I was six that I started to question about heaven and hell and the things about God I had heard so frequently at Sunday school. One night I asked my parents about where I would go when I died. My parents told me again about Jesus and his work, death, burial, and resurrection. They also told me about my sinfulness and how I could not enter heaven without first believing in Jesus Christ as my Savior. At that point, in my bed, I asked Christ to come into my heart and be my Savior.

Not long after my salvation we moved to a new location in Pennsylvania where we also were introduced to a new church. As I grew older my family's dedication to church grew. At this time I had already been baptized and thought I knew all the answers of the Bible. At the age of fifteen I was blind and arrogant. That year I was introduced to the opportunity to work at Word of Life Island as an STCer (Summer, Training, Core). I accepted, and the summer of 2004 I was introduced to the truth. That summer I was challenged to re-dedicate my life to Jesus as I saw I was not living for Jesus Christ and had become apathetic. I continued to work on the Island until I was old enough to go to the Word of Life Bible Institute in Pottersville, NY. Never before have I ever been so challenged in my walk with Jesus Christ. This was truly one year that changed my life, so I could not refuse their second year program. As I grew in my love for the Word of God I was looking for new opportunities to serve my Lord with the gifts and talents he had given me. Then the opportunity arose for me to join the Word of Life Impact Team and to be honest it was something I really wanted to do. It was unlike anything I had ever done before. After much prayer and seeking Biblical counsel I decided to join the Impact Team. I am looking forward to see how God will use my weakness for his Greatness.

For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to perfect the author of their salvation through sufferings.
