John Cottier

 My name is John Cottier.  I am from Wisconsin and am a diehard Green Bay Packer fan. I was raised in a churchgoing home and received Christ as my personal Savior at the age of 8. When I got to be about 12, there were problems in my family and I turned away from God. I followed the world and all that it offered for most of my teenage years, while trying to appear like the 'good Christian kid' in the church and youth group. When I was 17, God used a Word of Life short term missions trip to get my attention and realize that what I was pursuing was ultimately worthless. That lesson brought ultimately ended up with me coming to the Word of Life Bible Institute in 2007. I recently completed two years at the Bible Institute, and I can honestly say that these past two years have been the best of my life so far. God has taught me so much, and totally changed my thinking about how I view the Bible and life in general. Everything we have is a gift of God's grace and it is every Christian's duty to serve Him with everything He has blessed us with. I joined the Impact Team as an amazing opportunity to share with others all that Christ has done in my life, how He has changed me, and challenge them not to waste their lives but to live for Him!
